lake zurich...and beyond

head_left_image

I finally took the plunge...I'm on Facebook!

I recently joined Facebook and I'm having so much fun connecting with far-flung family and friends...and even those friends who live just down the street (busy lives, you know how that goes). I'm not using Facebook for ANY business purposes...it's PURELY for fun & friendship.

I guess that is one reason I resisted joining for so long; when I left the day to day real estate business behind I also left the social media aspect of real estate behind as well. Some of you have noticed my absence here on AR and have emailed me (thank you so much for caring about me, you are all so sweet), but to be honest, I haven't felt like writing about anything real estate related, reading about anything real estate related or even talking about anything real estate related. I guess that proves how totally burned out I was with the real estate business!!

But I do miss the social aspect of Active Rain and so many of my Active Rain friends...so if you would like to touch base please feel free to contact me...via Facebook!! :)

I wish you all the very happiest of holidays and a year full of peace and joy.

Have fun on facebook.  I love the chance to connect with people, there, just for fun.  Sometimes we need to do things purely for the joy it brings us.

Its a great FREE tool! i'd suggest setting up a business page so your clients that become friends don't have to read the banter that may be displayed on your personal page.

Good for you on Facebook.

I am setting up mutlitple "personalities" on facebook.  One for each of the different aspects of social media.

Personal, Real Estate, Investing, Energy, Technology

That way I don't confuse folks with a lot of other "noise" not related to what they want to follow me for.

LOL. I am crazy with Facebook. But I have 2 accounts. I do way too much playing on one of them. I have to keep the real one professional =)

Kelly - What a great quote !  Congrats on "grinning inside".  That is the ultimate goal !  Facebook does rock as does social media.  The social aspect of it all is quite fun indeed !  Congrats on getting to that point.  I love facebook as well, as I enjoy posting photos, quotes and so forth.  I do some real estate posts on there, but try to keep that to a low percentage.  Feel free to add me, either "Christopher Somers" or "phillyrealty".

Kelly. I have been on Facebook for a while but really just started using it daily about a month ago. I like it. What it does is give us a place for our worlds to collide. Co-workers, friends, family, sellers and buyers are all colliding on my Facebook page. It's pretty cool.

Stacy-Ann: I will, thanks!

Kyle: Nope, no business page for me...Facebook is purely for fun! I won't be discussing business there at all! But thanks for the suggestion.

Sally: I hope all is well with you~I've missed many of my AR pals!

Mike: Wow, that sounds like a lot to keep track of!

Colleen:See ya on FB! :)

Lisa: Why am I not surprised <wink>?

Christoper and Stephanie: I love that quote too! Glad you enjoyed it!

BB: Pretty cool indeed.

Missy: Yep. See ya on FB! :)

Okay Kelly,  I will find you on facebook.   By the way, I need a home in the Lake Zurich area.  Are any of your neighbors moving?

By the way, I have never seen you look happier!

Heather: Maybe it was blog overload?

Judy: Hmmm, if they don't want to move for a year or two, then you could sell them my house! :) I am happy!
